Having said that, I'm whatever is lower than pathetic, I haven't played any games in over a year... And how many times do I have to tell ya, nobody cares about your naked dudes running around throwing rocks and sticks at each other! ;)

I've really enjoyed your little 6mm games with Platoon Forward, but I can't wait until you get your ping-pong table back up and running and throwing on the 20mm troops.

V/R,
JackJust Jackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03552962741823929433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1328749298871119665.post-2596033751463966982022-02-27T14:08:27.142-08:002022-02-27T14:08:27.142-08:00I have played two ww2 games in the last six months...I have played two ww2 games in the last six months. Yeah, not a lot. Over the Christmas break I wrote some new ancient rules and played about 15 playtest games. Now they are in a good enough state to play properly, there could be some pointy stick battle reports coming to the blog.

But do not despair, I have a plan to get some more 6mm games in. I don't have a big enough table to really run decent 20mm WW2 games with the amount of figures I want to put on there. But also don't want to play skirmish games on the 2'x2'. I have a plan and some rules I wrote to run a platoon and support at 1:3 figure scale (so about 15 figures?) on 2'x2' with 20mm figures. I hopefully then get the 20mm fix until I have a chance to set up a bigger table hopefully late this year. Yessir, Aussies. Happy to have them, but ...Shaun,

Yessir, Aussies. Happy to have them, but not really right for what I'm most interested in, which is New Guinea. Not sure yet if I'll let that slide and use them anyway, or go and buy more Aussies for New Guinea...

Yeah, as I replied last time, you're talking a lot of trash for someone who hasn't played any games of his own! And yes, I'll get to some games... at some point ;) Just gotta get some things figured out with rules (see my other reply).

And yeah, the 10mm guy is long gone...

V/R,
JackJust Jackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03552962741823929433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1328749298871119665.post-77180524695763927682022-02-27T07:53:49.917-08:002022-02-27T07:53:49.917-08:00Thanks Andy, I appreciate it, though I do wish the...Thanks Andy, I appreciate it, though I do wish there were a few more slouch hats mixed in ;)

V/R,
JackJust Jackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03552962741823929433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1328749298871119665.post-42897167134577521462022-02-27T02:07:49.676-08:002022-02-27T02:07:49.676-08:00Great looking force. I think my 13yo son would only help paint if there was money involved :-) We were going to have a game over the Christmas holidays with 20mm forces but did not manage it :-( But there is still hope for a few games this year. Likely using the One Hour Skirmish Wargames rules (well, mostly, I could not help tweaking them a little) as it is loads of fun drawing cards.

Not sure if I mentioned it but looking forward to seeing if you ever play a game.

And I did forget to mention it this time but sure I sad it mid-last year. So much 15mm? for the "I'm mainly a 10mm" guy? And regarding 'Kuppenleiter,' yeah, I was trying to make a funny off of General Kippenberger, but forgot he was a Kiwi, not an Aussie... And don't worry, he won't actually be called that in any batreps I do ;)

V/R,
Jack
Just Jackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03552962741823929433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1328749298871119665.post-80838933728214326042022-02-26T15:12:59.897-08:002022-02-26T15:12:59.897-08:00Thanks Jim, I appreciate it!
